Over the years I've worked with a lot of women (and now more men) to help unravel their health concerns. One of the biggest things I've noticed is that it's really hard for women to put themselves and their health first. And I'm on a mission to shift that paradigm.

Your health is your greatest asset and gift. It's no one else's job to take care of your physical health. Only you can do that. Sure other people can encourage you, but no one can do it for you.
I learned the hard way and didn't put my health first for a long time as an adult. I wasn't really modeled how. I grew up on processed food just like you probably did. Once I finally learned better, I to make the choice to do better. So when my health finally did come crashing down, I finally took heed and started putting my health first.
I hope I can help others not wait that long. You can do so much NOW to prevent your health from crashing, but only if you put your health first. Stop making it a backburner priority and put it on the front burner. You have to take personal responsibility, get educated and start implementing changes so you can feel your best.
I've shared about this countless times and countless ways here on my blog. If you need some support on this today, so you can get to putting yourself and your health first; this post I wrote on restoring your health one day at a time.
Helping others to embody personal responsibility and prioritize their health is at the core of my client work. It's the work I had to do for myself and have to keep doing for myself, as well as model to my kids.
Today I want to share an example with you of a woman who also learned how to put her health first, and how to get the support she needed to make a much deeper shift than she could on her own.
Whitney found me on Instagram and reached out to work with me 1:1 for her health in the fall of 2021. She had made some great changes and strides for her health on her own, but was still struggling with some frustrating symptoms she couldn't get answers for or a handle on.
We worked together after reviewing her hair tissue mineral analysis results and health history over the course of 3 months. Whitney did a great job of implementing her game plan despite many of life's ups and downs. Her biggest relief was more energy than she had ever had in her whole life.
This is what she said to me during her retest consultation:
"I have had quite a bit better energy wise & I have felt really good (so something has definitely changed). It’s exciting -everything you’ve told me is working!"
I asked her on a scale of 1-10 were her energy was previously to now.
She said; ‘before a 3 or 4, not about a consistent 7 and some days a 9.’
She did a retest HTMA in the spring of 2022 and got to work digging in deeper and saw even more improvements. I asked Whiteny if she would share her thoughts about her time working with me. Here's what she shared.
After only about 6 months of working with Lydia, my health has SERIOUSLY shifted. Before I found her, I had a hunch that minerals were a huge missing piece to my health puzzle and I had been looking into HTMA for a while... Being a huge “do it myself-er”, I considered trying to navigate everything on my own, but I’m SO glad I chose to work with Lydia instead. This stuff is really complex (even for us health nerds), so it’s invaluable to have an expert help you along the way. The accountability of her checking in helps me stay on my game, whereas if I was trying this on my own, I’m sure I would have fallen off on my supplements, dietary choices, etc.
Why did you choose me as your practitioner?
Before finding Lydia and starting the program I was exhausted (waking up super sluggish, with no stamina to make it from morning to night without huge dips in energy). I was irritable, my hair was thinning around my temples, I was dealing with crazy menstrual pain, dry skin, and constant bloating. I just felt completely off and dehydrated at a cellular level.
What were 2 of your BIGGEST take-away moments and how did you apply them specifically in your life?
Within the first 3 months of implementing Lydia’s game plan, my energy and mood improved! I was able to feel good All. Day. Long. Which was crazy and new for me. I was able to work out again after about a year-long hiatus. That energy change alone was worth far more than I paid for the program.
What did my program do for your health and life specifically?
Now that we’re 6 months in, I’ve retested, and we’ve tweaked my game plan a little. My other symptoms are starting to vanish. My chronic bloating is drastically reduced, and my skin looks more hydrated. At my last hair appointment my hairdresser asked me what I’d been doing because she had never seen that much regrowth on me so quickly.
I’m excited to continue my journey of healing and see where things go from here!
Most importantly, address any fears you feel that someone might have if they were in your shoes before you took action in this way. NOT just about investing in themselves, but in stepping up and taking action too!
Moral of the story: Work with someone like Lydia. Get the supplements she recommends (if you’re able). Actually implement everything she says, and don’t give up. A lot of this takes time. I encourage you to stick with it rather than doing a one-off test and going on with your life. Going all in isn’t cheap, but I swear, if you’re dedicated, it’s worth it.
