In case you didn't know, I wrote a blog; 'Divine Health From The Inside Out'.
Which, I started in 2010 mostly for fun at first, but then it became my storefront for my 'business'.
To be totally honest I never had a clear vision or long term goals for my blog/website. I was driven, I had enthusiasm even, but honestly it was quite nebulous.
So, I stopped blogging over there about 8 months ago, even though I had a huge fan base of over 13,000 subscribers.
The reason it didn’t resonate with me anymore, it just didn't feel like 'me' or 'home'.
I stopped deeply caring about what I was writing about and was only writing to GET attention and in light of that, I wasn’t connecting with people anymore. I had no tribe.
Truthfully, I was disconnected to my purpose and my work showed it.
I craved more of a creative outlet for expressing my truth, so I could feel good about what I was writing and make sure I was writing in a worldview I was aligned with to connect with a tribe of people I could call my own, and become essentially a 'personal brand'.
So I quit. Stopped writing. I didn't even feel able to contribute anything valuable anymore.
Until… I decided to rebrand. Start fresh. And just be myself.
Because, what I realized was; I had learned a lot in my real life and overcome a lot too.
I also had a lot of actual practical experience helping others overcome huge hurdles and obstacles stopping them from getting what they wanted so they can start to live more free in their bodies, mind and soul.
And to me, that felt more powerful. More impactful.
And I was doing everyone a disservice by how I was previously showing up. Not as the truest or fullest version of ME.
The me who had gone through more than a program on nutrition once. The me who had actually gone through the hard work of overcoming many struggles that were physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
So I 'quit' and started over.
I broke up with the old version of me (via my blog) to become the new version of me.
If you’ve ever been a relationship that no longer feels good or right, I’m sure you can relate here.
Maybe it wasn’t even a ‘bad’ relationship, maybe it was even ok, comfortable (like that old pair of slippers you mean to replace but can’t bring yourself to do)...but it certainly wasn’t awesome.
Here’s the thing...the same is true when it comes to any area of your life that just doesn’t light your soul on fire anymore.
It can be so hard to let go of what is no longer serving you or others though. It took me far longer to make the switch than I care to admit.
But, I like to remind myself often, and I’m sure you’ll need to hear this as well;
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”.
In this case, I’m referring to evolving, expanding, taking steps towards personal growth, stepping out of your comfort zone, challenging yourself.
If the only constant is change, we can rest assured many things in life will change. WE will change. (I mean hopefully right? )
So, if you think about it, I didn’t really ‘quit’ now did I? I just chose to shift. Align.
And step into the version of myself I have become. The version of me that I can truthfully say; it's a joy to be.
If you take only one thing away from this post, let it be this; ‘Don’t give up on the person you are becoming’.
The word becoming itself indicates a process, so be gentle and patient with yourself. And by all means don’t give up on yourself even if you feel like it’s taking too long, or there is no end in sight...just.keep.going.
If you’ve stayed with me this far, I will tell you what you can expect to read from me here at my new home; Lydia Joy.
My passion is to empower you (ladies) to radically transform your life.
To take a more holistic approach to whole health and personalize the way 'we', as women, truly look at health.
To inspire you to love yourself, reclaim your joy, energy and most of all, feel alive and happy to be the best version of you possible. So you also can be free to say ‘It’s a joy to be me!’
Sound good? If so, stick around.

I plan on talking about embodying it all; functional nutrition, food, freedom, fun, flow, fitness, family… even fashion (and yes, I realize for some reason I became obsessed with a lot of F words).
Honestly, I want to see more women flourish in their feminine power. Are you ready for more of that in your life? Let me know in the comments below.
