Welcome Back, Friends!
I hope you're all savoring September—my personal favorite month. We're on the cusp of the fall equinox, a beautiful time when daylight and night are perfectly balanced, aligning with Libra season—a time for harmony, balance, and recalibration in our lives and relationships.
We're also entering peak harvest season, where summer produce offers its final burst and fall veggies begin to roll in. I recently picked up my weekly CSA haul—deep green, spicy arugula, and delicata squash were the highlights. These small joys really root me in the present and remind me of the balance we’re all seeking in our health.

A big thank you to Anna for her kind review on iTunes! She wrote:

I had a couple clients bring this up this week: anything in 3s I know I need to do a podcast -so here it is.
Listen to Episode #108: When your blood pressure is low, so are you: Find: A Joy To Be Me; On: iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
First person was someone who has been burning the candle at both ends since forever and just started back up training for the most intense race of her life. She was puzzled by why she couldn’t do it like she could before one day when she had shortness of breath and dizziness. I asked her to get her blood pressure checked ASAP because off hand she did not know what it was or the last time it was checked.
Here’s why it’s an important marker for health, especially when it’s low NAMELY because we never hear anything about what to do if it’s low or what it means if it’s low but rather are just ushered along; after hearing ‘your BP is nice and low’
They don’t have a...
I am Celebrating 2 years of podcasting on this heart opening day of honoring LOVE.
If you haven’t listened to my first episode -go back and do so, it’s just under 20 minutes: Get your spark back!
I introduced my story and why I started this podcast for you! I share how I got my spark back after many years of deep burnout and why I’m SO passionate about pleasure!
That shared, in episode 104, I talk about an important piece in helping us all get our vitality -therefore spark, back or ignited.
Listen to Episode #104: Celebrating 2 Years ! + Digging Into Glutathione: Find: A Joy To Be Me; On: iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
Whenever I see patterns emerging in my conversations and my client work or research, I take note. One topic that has been coming up recently is; supporting the body to increase energy and detox better. A big piece is through glutathione production in the body so everything functions better.
We all need help detoxing today but how...
It’s that time of year… the time where here in the north we can convert sun into vitamin D through our skin in our bodies.
And I figured, it’s as good a time as any to review some things around ‘vitamin’ D.
In the past 7 years since I’ve been doing this work and educating on the hazards of supplementing vitamin D, not much has changed in the mainstream (in fact nothing has).
Perhaps a small ‘fringe’ growing minority asking better questions and trying to get to the root causes instead of slamming a high dose of supplemental D and calling it ‘good’.
One such root is LIMITED testing and LIMITED answers to perceived low levels.
The real answer is not pat. The real answer to your unique vitamin D production and physiological needs lies in asking WAY more questions. And cleaning up your whole lifestyle, environment and remineralizing your body so you can also detox more effectively.
Did you know that vitamin D can increase heavy...
In this episode, I talk about what I'm calling your inner "stress barometer" which notifies you when your mind and body are under too much strain.
Listen to Episode #89: Your Inner Stress Barometer : Find A JOY TO BE ME on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
When you become aware of your inner stress barometer- it can help notify you when you need to give your body more of what it needs. In order to restore your equilibrium you have to find the right balance in your life in order to restore harmony.
Does your body "act up" when you are stressed?
Do you get strange sensations that make you worry you might have something seriously wrong with you?
Do you listen to your inner needs when you are spread too thin, or do you "power" through it, depleting yourself further?
There's a line in the Lord of Rings in which Bilbo tells Gandalf that “I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.”
If you can relate to...
In this episode, I give a shout out to one of my FAVORITE minerals: POTASSIUM. I share a quick overview of why you want to pay attention to how much you are getting to avoid the downsides of it's deficiency.
Listen to Episode #88: The Power of Potassium : Find A JOY TO BE ME on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
I also created a resource for you: a free guide: THE POWER OF POTASSIUM.
Grab that >>> HERE <<<
I also remind you about the hierarchy of minerals and how magnesium and potassium are joined at the hip so to speak.
It’s impossible to overcome potassium deficiency without first replacing magnesium and low potassium levels can increase urinary magnesium losses. So, I'm actually building upon all the past materials I've created and shared with you about magnesium.
Minerals work as a team. They run the show of your human energy system and they can't be underestimated.

- Burnout: Heal Your Body...
In this episode, I painted a picture for you of what it's like to be in burnout. It's very much like being in debt -starting with the missing minerals. We are all born into nutritional debt these days. This is important to acknowledge so we can do something about it, instead of remain in denial.
Listen to Episode #87: Burnout is like being in debt : Find A JOY TO BE ME on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
If you are not in acceptance of the challenges that have led to burnout you might have a really hard time on your healing journey. You may feel in a hurry, you may feel ashamed, you may feel a bit of cognitive dissonance or denial.
It's always important to SEE the big picture so you really know what you're up against and stay committed.

In this episode, I talk about how to approach your exposure to light as we head into the dark days of winter and set the clocks back 1 hour.
Listen to episode #85: Fall Back - Heading into the dark days (what you need to know) : Find A Joy To Be Me on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
As humans our #1 nutrient is actually LIGHT. Natural light from the sun and working with the daily rhythm it provides, as well as the moon and it's light phases for the female hormone cycle.
I shared some best practices AND reminded you to go back and listen to episode 28 from September 19th, 2020 with Kris Kross of emrtek all about red light therapy. It's important to have a strategy during the darker days to protect your health, reduce harm and increase your ATP production with the right approach to light.

In this episode, I talk about bio-individuality. A fundamental concept that I was taught when I attended the Nutritional Therapy Association and how I approach supporting all my clients. Bio-Individuality can help us embrace the profound beauty of a flexible, integrative approach to nutrition.
Listen to episode #84: Bio-Individuality-There are no one size fits all nutrition approaches : Find A Joy To Be Me on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Stitcher or Spotify
While we humans share many similarities, nature created each human being as their own unique microcosm. We are more remarkable for the ways we differ than for the ways we are alike.
Understanding the concept of bio-individuality as it relates to you will free you from the lunacy of the media saying one day that, greens are good for you, and the next day – they're bad for you. One day, coffee is helpful to keep you regular, and the next, it can kill you. Meat causes cancer vs. eating high amounts of meat is the...
